The much-loved 1960s Ford Consul Capri appears in pure white with silver trim. The interior is black but a splash of vibrant red has been added to seats and flooring. The registration plate reads 117 FXM.
Ford launched the Consul Capri in September 1961 to great acclaim but the first 200 were made with left hand drive for the export market which must have frustrated eager UK motorists! The car boasted sweeping lines with a two-door configuration, a large boot and a pillarless coupe roof. Further up-market features included a four headlight configuration, variable speed wipers, front disc brakes, dimming dashboard lights and even a cigarette lighter. The four-speed transmission also offered a column or floor change option.
