87BE68001 1968 Buick Electra 225 Ivory Gold Mist/Black
The Buick Electra 225 joins the Oxford series of 1:87 scale of American Classics. It was so called because it had an enormous length of 225 inches. It came as either a two-door or four-door hardtop model and Oxford has selected to model the 4-door version. Known for its ‘land yacht’ style, the Electra 225 was classed as a full-size luxury car and even sported six-way power seats. It represents the height of 1960-1970s American long, heavy and powerful cars.
The Electra 225 makes its Oxford debut decorated in an ivory gold mist colour scheme with black masked roof and a black chassis. It has the customary silver trim including chrome wheels with whitewall tyres and a black wheel boss. The detailed radiator grille is black and silver with the Buick badge in the centre. The Electra 225 badge is discreetly printed behind the rear side windows on the black masked slope of the roof. The signature is also printed on the back of the boot lid. The interior seating is moulded in white with a contrasting black dashboard and steering wheel. Finally, our new model is registered as OH 230 in Scenic New Hampshire.
